If i was to set up a small events/planning business how would i best attract my clientel?
planning events 1 Comment »The type of events to begin with would be mainly party based. dj’s finding venues and filling them. design and setting up for private parties, corperate also. Any ideas on how to approach it, would be very helpfull. Thanks.
Find out who are your competitors are,what they offer and, if possible how much they charge. Do some market research to find out if what you are offering is the same or different to your competitors and, more importantly, will people be willing to pay the fees that you are asking for?
Word of mouth or personal recommendation is the best way of getting known. Another way is sometimes to do a series of local events for charity etc for cost price only as a PR exercise to get known. Some join clubs or societies to get known. Are you going to go for the wedding market if so maybe try and tie up with a wedding caterer. In fact do what your competitors are not doing and hammer home your unique selling point, why should people chose you! Good Luck!
